Centennial Park

To recognize Rotary International’s Centennial, the Milford Rotary Club created the Milford Rotary Club Centennial Park.  Ground breaking took place in the spring of 2005 on the grounds of the Milford Community House.  The old deteriorating tennis courts were replaced with a beautiful, professionally landscaped park for the entire community to enjoy.  Formal dedication of the park took place on June 29, 2006.

The Rotary worked for many months with a landscape architect to create a park that is pleasing to the eye and welcoming to the community.  The now completed park includes a series of gardens with trees, shrubs, and flowering plants along with park benches, lampposts, and in keeping with the Milford tradition, inscribed brick walkways.  The center of the park features a replica of the Rotary emblem.  Bricks have been reserved around the emblem to honor past and present Rotarians.   Bricks for the walkways have been inscribed to specific requests.

There are still opportunities to participate. Centennial Park ornaments are now available for purchase.  The face of the ornament shows the Elm Street entrance to the park and the back depicts the Rotary Emblem.  Proceeds  will be used to maintain the park and its gardens.  To order, print the  form below and forward to the Milford Rotary Centennial Park.  Print additional forms if ornaments are to be shipped to more than one address.  We sincerely hope that you will show your support for the Milford Rotary Club through the purchase of one or more of these ornaments.
